Published by Elevate Moving Sales — professional sales coverage for moving companies.
This toolkit is for moving-company owners and sales teams, not customers shopping for a mover. Elevate Moving Sales created these working templates to help teams qualify inquiries, explain estimates, assign follow-up, and review what happens after a lead arrives. Adapt every script to your policies before using it with customers.
Download a moving sales call script
Use this script for inbound inquiries or callbacks the customer requested. It covers the opening, move details, access and inventory questions, estimate explanation, price objections, booking, and CRM handoff. It does not authorize unsolicited calls or make promises about availability or final charges.
A practical opening
"Thanks for contacting [Company]. I'm [Name]. I can help you review your move and the next step for an estimate. What date are you hoping to move, and what are the pickup and delivery locations?" Confirm access, inventory, requested services, timing, and the customer's preferred contact channel before quoting.

Compare moving lead sources with an ROI worksheet
Enter marketing spend, eligible leads, estimates, booked jobs, completed jobs, collected revenue, and direct fulfillment costs for the same lead cohort. The Excel workbook calculates cost per lead, cost per booked job, lead-to-booking rate, collected-revenue-to-spend ratio, and contribution after marketing. Blank or zero denominators leave the corresponding result blank instead of claiming a return.
| Metric | Formula | What it tells you |
|---|
| Cost per lead | Marketing spend ÷ eligible leads | The acquisition cost of one eligible inquiry. |
| Cost per booked job | Marketing spend ÷ booked jobs | What acquisition costs before cancellations and fulfillment. |
| Lead-to-booking rate | Booked jobs ÷ eligible leads | How often that cohort books a job. |
| Collected-revenue-to-spend ratio | Collected revenue ÷ marketing spend | Revenue relative to acquisition spend; not profit or ROI. |
| Contribution after marketing | Collected revenue − direct job costs − marketing spend | Contribution before overhead, taxes, and other excluded costs. |
| Contribution return on marketing spend | Contribution after marketing ÷ marketing spend | A limited contribution-based return; not whole-business profit. |
Keep the cohort consistent Do not compare this month's ad spend with unrelated jobs completed this month. Attribute revenue and fulfillment costs to the same leads, allow enough time for completion, and document your attribution rule. Booked value is not collected revenue. A matched booking does not prove a campaign caused it.

Download moving lead follow-up templates
Adapt these email, text, and voicemail examples for customers who requested an estimate or follow-up. Replace every placeholder, confirm contact permissions, honor channel preferences and opt-outs, and stop when the customer declines or books. These are writing templates, not legal advice or an automatic outreach schedule.

Track your moving sales performance
Use the blank CSV to record one eligible inquiry per row, its source, first response time, estimate and booking status, completion status, and collected revenue. Use a non-identifying CRM record ID instead of customer names, phone numbers, or addresses. Keep the downloaded file within your company's approved systems.

Use the existing free moving sales calculators
These tools use the resource hub's existing calculator logic; this toolkit does not change their formulas. Read each tool's assumptions before using a result. A modeled opportunity is not a forecast or a guarantee.

How to use the toolkit with your team
- Choose one owner for inquiry handling and one recent, sufficiently mature lead cohort to review.
- Adapt the call script to your services, pricing, estimate requirements, service area, and availability.
- Agree on permitted follow-up channels and record the next action in your CRM.
- Fill the worksheets with your actual records. Leave unknown values blank; do not replace them with guesses.
- Review unquoted inquiries, unanswered calls, outstanding estimates, cancellations, and contribution by source. Choose one process problem to address first.
Common questions about the sales toolkit
Is the toolkit free, and do I need an account?
Yes, the files and linked calculators are free. No account, email address, or signup is required to download them.
Can I edit the ROI worksheet?
Yes. Open the XLSX file in Excel or import it into Google Sheets, enter data in the input columns, and leave the calculated columns intact. The separate example sheet contains fictional values for learning, not Elevate client results.
Will these templates guarantee more bookings?
No. Results depend on lead quality, pricing, staffing, availability, follow-up, and the services you can fulfill. These materials support a repeatable process and measurement; they do not establish an industry benchmark or guarantee an outcome.
